In 2021, pea exports increased by 69% to a record volume of 1.2 million tons (715 thousand tons in 2020, 613 thousand tons in 2019), the product rose from 8th to 5th place in the TOP 10. The share in exports also set a record - 2.3% (1.2% in 2020). Throughout 2021, pea exports outperformed the previous year. Record monthly volumes were recorded in August (180 thousand tons), September (198 thousand tons), October (168 thousand tons) and December (127 thousand tons). In 2021, peas were exported to 52 countries (48 in 2020, 52 in 2019), while the demand for legumes increased from 37 countries. Turkey has risen from 3rd to 1st place in the list of pea importing countries, increasing imports by 3 times to 277 thousand tons (23%). The Republic of Bangladesh increased purchases by 3 times and rose from 6th to 2nd place - 216 thousand tons (18%). Import growth occurred in Italy - 174 thousand tons (+61%, 14%), Latvia - 109 thousand tons (+17%, 9%), Spain - 103 thousand tons (+18%, 9%) ...
