Forecast of world wheat production exceeds 800 million tons An upward revision of wheat production in Kazakhstan, where official data showed higher than previously expected yields, has pushed the global wheat harvest to more than 800 million tons for the first time in history. The forecast for global production of feed grains has also been raised, reflecting a larger than previously expected harvest in India based on official figures showing higher yields and area, but at 1.468 billion tonnes, it is still 2.8 percent below last season's levels. Grain Utilization The 2022/23 world grain utilization forecast of 2.780 billion tons has been raised by 1.2 million tons from the previous month, but still shows a decrease of 0.7 percent from 2021/2022 levels.
