The FEED365 project, a collaboration between the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), Meat & Livestock Australia's (MLA) SheepLinks program, and the Grower Group Alliance, aims to provide sheep producers with a solution for near year-round feed supply without the need for supplementary feeding. The project, located at DPIRD's Katanning Research Station, has demonstrated the potential of forage crops and pastures to provide green feed for most of the year, even in dry seasons. The field day on September 17 will provide producers with insights into the various forage options and management strategies used, aiming to reduce feed costs, enhance business resilience and sustainability, and improve productivity and profitability.
