In this context, 10 thousand 350 fig saplings, 75 percent of which will be grant, will be given to the producers especially in rural neighborhoods. District Agriculture and Forestry Director Faruk Şenyurt told Anadolu Agency (AA) that they are producing figs on an area of 285 decares in Demirci. Expressing that they are trying to increase the fig production in the region, Şenyurt said, "We will distribute 10 thousand 350 fig saplings with a 75 percent grant to our farmers within the scope of the project of our Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry General Directorate of Plant Production.
