The fishing fleet unloaded in this period 351,263 tons against the 333,921 tons that had been declared to fish last year. Of the total landings, 149,028 tons correspond to squid, 87,486 to hubbsi hake from the cash to the south and 49,426 tons to Patagonian shrimp.

As a result of a better squid harvest, the landings of the main fishing species showed a growth of 5% in the first five months of the year, according to the statistical report prepared by the Undersecretary of Fisheries and marks the evolution of the movement of the activity until June 1. The illex registers an 18% growth in relation to last year from another good harvest in the northern management unit on the North Patagonian Buenos Aires stock, which not only served the jigger fleet but also the fresh fish fleet.
