It was also the third largest monthly volume ever recorded in the sector, falling just short of the 440,500 tons of July 2015 and the 454,800 tons of July 2018. As the average price for the month also recorded a strong appreciation (a third more than in May 2021 and a value above US$2,000/ton), the biggest reflection fell on foreign exchange revenue, which registered an annual increase of more than 38% and surpassed US$888 million, an unprecedented result in the history of Brazilian chicken meat exports.
