Four wild boars have been found dead from African swine fever (ASF) in the Collserola mountain range (Barcelona), in the same area where this week the bodies of the first two animals that died from this outbreak were found, sources from the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food have informed EFE. This outbreak of swine fever, the first detected in Spain since 1994, has led the Department to create a six-kilometer perimeter around the place where the animals were found, to which access has been prohibited except for residents, and a second one of twenty kilometers, where organized outdoor activities, such as hiking or cycling trips, have been banned.
