In February 2025, Peruvian fresh asparagus exports saw an 18% increase in volume but a 16% decrease in value compared to the same month in 2024. This was primarily due to a 29% drop in product prices, with the average price falling to US$2.97 per kilogram. Despite this, the Netherlands remained the main destination for Peruvian asparagus, with a 33% share of the total volume. Both the volume and value of exports to the United States and Spain also increased, but the average price per kilogram was lower than in 2024. The majority of shipments were made from Jorge Chávez International Airport, with TAL S.A., Agualima S.A.C., and TA Export S.A.C. being the leading exporters.
