The fresh ginger campaign entered its fifth month, but in May every week had negative results. In the one that just ended, for example, Peru sent only 455 tons, which was 7% above what was exported the same week of 2022, but 41% below what was shipped the previous week. Given the good results in April, shipments so far this season have totaled 27,697 tons, 57% higher than the 2022 campaign.
