The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a resolution on the extension and financing of President Zelenskyy's initiative Grain From Ukraine. "Ukraine stands as one of the world's guarantors of food security. Just this week, we loaded another vessel with 30,000 t of humanitarian wheat for Yemen. We are allocating the necessary funds to keep the initiative running," announced the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal. An additional 125,000 t of wheat or corn will be purchased to be delivered as humanitarian aid to African countries, he added. "We look not only to continue but also to expand this initiative," the Prime Minister stressed. Since the opening of the grain corridor on August 1, 2022, over 25.24 mln t of agri-food commodities has been exported from Ukraine.
