In the region of Caxias do Sul, the grapevines continue with adequate health. However, the BRS Cora variety has presented a physiological effect that has caused fruit abortion and dark lesions on the rachis. According to the analysis by Embrapa Uva e Vinho (CNPUV), the problem "may be a consequence of the cloudy and cold days," which would have impaired pollination. Emater also reported that "some vineyards were hit by gales, which severely damaged the branches." The late-cycle varieties have already completed flowering and are in the "lead shot" grain phase, with health preserved.
