[Korean Farmers' Newspaper Reporter Jo Sung-je] The Agricultural Technology Center in Gumi City's Agro-Food Processing Technology Support Center received a food safety management certification (HACCP) for four types of food (fruit and vegetable beverages, jams, confectionery, and candies) from the Korea Food Safety Management Certification Institute on November 19, which is expected to expand the sales channels for Gumi City's processed agricultural products. The Gumi City Agricultural Technology Center stated that the acquisition of this HACCP certification is significant as it provides a systematic basis for ensuring the safety of processed agricultural products made from locally produced agricultural products in Gumi City and for developing regional representative processed products that are more trusted by consumers.
