With the opening of the stands, it quickly became clear that in 2025, those who want a nicely shaped Christmas tree in their living room will have to dig deeper into their pockets. Pine prices have indeed risen by an average of 10-15 percent, and even the final sum of 40 thousand forints is no longer special for the most popular Nordmann. However, the price increase has not broken the enthusiasm of the buyers. The majority of Hungarian families are looking for the same type and size of tree as they did a year ago, and they still consider domestic producers to be a reliable option. The most significant change is still noticeable in the Nordmann fir market. According to the experiences of horticultural traders, the price per meter for this variety ranges between 8-10 thousand forints this year, but street vendors often ask for 10-12 thousand forints for it.
