In Buryatia this year, rapeseed sowings have significantly increased to load the processing plant.

The area under technical crops in the republic amounted to 8.2 thousand hectares, or 230.8% of the 2024 level. The Ministry of Agriculture of Buryatia summed up the results of the sowing campaign in the region, which took place from May 5 to July 12. The total area of spring sowing amounted to 126.4 thousand hectares (106.7% of the level of the previous year). Of these, grain crops occupied 71.1 thousand hectares (99.2%), fodder crops of the current sowing year - 37.9 thousand hectares (107.7%), technical crops - 8.2 thousand hectares (230.8%), potatoes - 8.1 thousand hectares (117.9%), vegetables - 1.2 thousand hectares (97.8%). Thus, the sowing of rapeseed for loading the plant built in the republic for processing this crop and producing oil has significantly increased.
