In July, meat production in Russia increased by more than 7%

Production of food meat products in Russia in July of this year in live weight increased by 7.2 percent to 1.4 million tons. Such data are provided by Rosstat. The most noticeable increase in the country this month was in beef production. It increased by 13.4 percent year-on-year, amounting to 93.7 thousand tons. In second place in terms of production growth rates was pork (+12 percent to 509.5 thousand tons). Poultry meat production grew the least - by 5.7 percent. However, it turned out to be the largest of the listed - 551.7 thousand tons. Poultry meat also occupies the largest share of all three types - 47.6 percent of the total volume. Pork makes up 44 percent, beef - 8.1. The largest share of meat products in July was produced by enterprises - 1.16 million tons.
