In Karabük, 5 tons of lavender were harvested from the 'Lavender-Scented Saffron Garden'.

In the "Lavender Scented Saffron Garden" established in the Gayza village of Karabük's Safranbolu district, 5 tons of lavender were harvested this year from an area of 35 decares. The garden, established in collaboration with the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the Safranbolu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, aims to increase saffron production and contribute to agrotourism. The lavender harvest, which was attended by Safranbolu Chamber of Commerce and Industry Council President Cengiz Ünal and Board Chairman Erol Altıntepe, saw 4 tons of the harvested lavender undergo distillation to produce approximately 150 liters of lavender oil. The remaining 1 ton of lavender was evaluated as fragrance and dried flowers.
