In Kazakhstan, the volume of gross agricultural production increased by 4% over five months

For January-May 2025, the volume of gross agricultural production amounted to 1.3 trillion tenge, increasing by 4% compared to the same period last year, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan reports. According to the agricultural department, growth was mainly ensured by an increase in livestock production by 4.2% — up to 1.2 trillion tenge. In particular, there was an increase in meat production in live weight by 3.0% (up to 409.1 thousand tons) and cow's milk — by 7.5% (up to 1,347.9 thousand tons). There is an increase in livestock numbers: • cattle — by 23.4% (up to 9.7 million head); • sheep and goats — by 7.8% (up to 26.3 million head); • horses — by 112.0% (up to 5.0 million head); • camels — by 8.5% (up to 321.3 thousand head); • poultry — by 2.2% (up to 47.7 million head).
