Kazakhstan's 2024 harvest has seen a 50% increase in grain production compared to the previous year, with over 30% of the total area harvested. Despite stable weather conditions, Agriculture Minister Aidarbek Saparov has called for increased resource allocation and solutions to issues such as labor shortages in grain receiving enterprises and a lack of grain drying units due to heavy September rainfall. The government is considering a new credit product and subsidies for grain dryers, and is addressing issues with the shipment of diesel fuel and mineral fertilizers. The harvest has so far yielded 8 million tons of grain from 5.4 million hectares.
