Union of Unions of Farmers and Ranchers warns of the "difficult" situation of dairy cattle farmers, in light of the 2022 data and the advance of the first quarter of 2023 and that could trigger, if it continues like this, in a situation unprecedented drop in production. Unión de Uniones echoes the latest report on dairy deliveries published by the Spanish Agrarian Guarantee Fund (FEGA), which highlights that, during 2022, 789 farms have disappeared: 66 farms close per month. The organization highlights that, according to the data available for 2023, the situation is not improving, with production falling by 1.86% - in 2022 it fell by 2.11% -, standing at 7.32 million tons, compared to the 7.48 million produced in 2021.
