A reduction of about a quarter of the cultivated area of wheat, barley and corn is expected in Ukraine in 2023. Such data on Wednesday led the Minister of Agrarian Policy of the country Nikolai Solsky. "The decrease by about a quarter of the sown area for grain is due to the high cost of nitrogen fertilizers, the late harvest of the current crop and, as a result, the impossibility of high-quality preparation of agricultural land for the next season," the Agroperspektiva profile portal quotes the minister as saying.
