It was announced that a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) on halal certification has been signed between the Korea Halal Authority (KHA). In accordance with the ‘Law on Guaranteeing Halal Products’, Indonesia plans to require halal certification for food imported and distributed into the country from October 24 (excluding fresh agricultural products).
