In collaboration with the Federal Police (PF), inspection by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) intercepted an export fraud attempt at the Port of Paranaguá, in Paraná. The case occurred last Tuesday (10), but was only disclosed by authorities this Monday (16). The action resulted in the seizure of 39,250 kilos of adulterated soybean meal, material intended for the international market. According to the police, the cargo was identified with irregularities in the mandatory access and classification process, with the adulteration confirmed at the destination terminal. Collected samples revealed the presence of sand, sawdust, and mold mixed with the soybean meal, characterizing the fraud. Federal agricultural inspection auditors (AFFAs) from the Plant Origin Product Inspection Service of Paraná (Sipov/PR), from Mapa, were responsible for the initial analyses.
