On September 17, Jingxi City successfully signed a contract with Jingkang (Baise) Food Co., Ltd. for the modernization of a nut deep processing project at the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo, Business and Investment Summit, with a total investment of 200 million yuan.
The project will establish a modern nut deep processing production line and a nut cold chain storage and trading platform. The first phase plans to set up 5 cashew peeling production lines, 6 multi-flavor nut coating production lines, 8 automated packaging lines, establish a nut food research institute, and a nut processing technology research and development center; the second phase will jointly build a storage and trading platform for cashew raw materials and finished products with the China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Corporation, construct a cold chain warehouse, and plan to store 7,000 tons of cashew raw materials.
Jingxi is located in the southwestern border of Guangxi, bordering Vietnam, with a border line of 152.5 kilometers, and it has the Longbang International Port, Yuewei Port, and 4 border trade points, giving it significant advantages in developing port-based processing industries. In recent years, Jingxi has relied on the port to promote the construction of industrial parks, expanding the scale of border processing and manufacturing production in a "front port, back factory" model. The total amount of imported goods for cross-border trade and processing in the city in 2024 is 3.5 billion yuan, with the output value of processing enterprises reaching 2.35 billion yuan.
