January–November 2025 Rice Production Projected to Reach 33 Million Tons
Rice production rises by more than 12 percent, national stock ensured to be safe.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) projects that national rice production from January to November 2025 will reach 33.19 million tons. This figure represents a 12.62 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024, which recorded 29.47 million tons. This achievement ensures the availability of national rice supply in safe conditions. In fact, the production exceeds the achievement for the entire year of 2024, which was only 30.34 million tons. "With the projected January–November production surpassing 33 million tons, the availability of staple food is increasingly guaranteed. Rice is no longer a driver of inflation, but rather a support for price stability and the purchasing power of the people," said BPS Deputy for Production Statistics, M Habibullah, in Jakarta, Wednesday (1/10/2025).
