Kazakhstan's national operator, KTZ, is planning to enhance logistics efficiency by operating headquarters for grain and milled product transportation from August 15 to December 31, 2024. This move aims to speed up wagon turnover and prevent shortages by encouraging elevators to operate 24/7 during harvest periods. However, KTZ has expressed dissatisfaction with the work of railway enterprises at the Kostanay hub, reporting improper facility maintenance and unsatisfactory station conditions. The head of the Kostanay station and the deputy director of the Kostanay branch of the main network for station facilities have been dismissed, and other directors are facing disciplinary action.
