Kazakhstan increased wheat exports by 10% in tons and immediately by 34% in money terms

Export supply prices in the sector increased by 10% year-on-year In January-December 2022, exports of wheat and meslin from Kazakhstan reached 6.3 million tons worth $1.9 billion. Growth in physical terms amounted to 9.7%, in monetary terms - 33.8%. This was reported by the Agrosektor.kz portal with a link to Energyprom.kz. According to official data, most of the exports went to the CIS countries: 4.7 million tons - 12.1% more than a year earlier. Here, the main volume was sent to Uzbekistan: 3 million tons of grain in the amount of 824.8 million dollars. The top three also included Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. 1.7 million tons of wheat and meslin were delivered to countries outside the CIS, which is 3.5% more than in January-December 2021. Here, most of the exports fell to Afghanistan: 686.7 thousand tons in the amount of 194.3 million dollars. The top three also included Iran and Italy.
