KAZINFORM “For the development of marine fish species of the Caspian Sea (sprat, herring, mullet) at the legislative level, it is necessary to resolve the issue of acquiring the marine fleet through concessional lending or leasing and work out the issue of reducing tariffs for port services, since fishing vessels are equated to the tariffs of oil tankers and dry cargo ships (about 500 thousand tenge for one call to the port), which is unbearable given the low prices for sprat products,” Serikkali Brekeshev said. The minister also stated that an additional 8 billion tenge is required to fully equip inspections for the next three years. “This will make it possible to quickly and efficiently fill in the primary data on the offender and increase the effectiveness of the fight against poaching,” Serikkali Brekeshev added.
