Kenya's Horticultural Directorate has banned avocado exports to end the harvesting of unripe fruits. According to the head of the Horticultural Directorate, Benjamin Tito, the ban on Fuerte and Hass varieties will come into effect on November 15. Exceptions will be considered for exporters marketing the Jumbo type and those harvesting out of season.
