According to Benjamin Tito, head of the directorate, the survey conducted in the first week of January showed that the eastern Rift had at least 10-35 percent and the western Rift at least 10-30 percent mature avocados are to be exported. The window starts on January 23 and runs until February 6, with the export of Fuerte, Hass, Jumbo and Pinkerton varieties expected to be exclusively by sea.
