In an online meeting held between the biggest farming organizations in 12 EU countries yesterday, September 1, leaders took a united decision on a general protest. The proposed dates are September 14, 15 and 16. This was announced today to Agro Plovdiv by the chairman of the National Association of Grain Producers (NAG), Kostadin Kostadinov. "For us, the most suitable date is September 14, so as not to overshadow the first school day. We will protest around or in the cities - we have yet to decide that," explained Kostadinov. Before that, there will be a press conference where the reasons for the demonstrations will be explained. On the same date, the informal meeting of the ministers of agriculture in the EU begins, at which the Bulgarian representative - probably deputy minister Georgi Sabev, will demand from the EU crisis fund that compensation be granted to countries affected by Ukrainian imports, such as Bulgaria.
