Piracicaba, 14 - The prices of palmer mango from Vale do São Francisco (PE/BA) registered a reduction in the domestic market. This week (01/10 to 01/14), average prices were R$ 1.92/kg, down 4% compared to last week. Although the region was affected by the rains, the impacts on fruit quality were not significant. However, exports have been affected, as buyers are wary of anthracnose, whose symptoms can appear after the harvest. Regarding floral inductions, some producers reported difficulty in performing induction in the variety due to the increase in humidity; however, it is believed that the rains helped to reduce the average temperatures, which may favor the next attempts, since high temperatures also hinder the success of the procedure.
