The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) announced this Friday (20th) that it conducted an operation to curb the illegal entry of agricultural products in the Northwest of Rio Grande do Sul. Operation Ronda Agro LXXXIX, coordinated by the Border Surveillance Program, was executed in the municipalities of Santa Rosa and Três Passos and resulted in the seizure of 51 tons of soybeans, 12 tons of onions, and almost two thousand liters of products similar to unregistered pesticides. The inspection was carried out jointly with the Military Brigade, the Brazilian Army, the Federal Police, the Federal Revenue, the Sentinel Program (Seapi), and the Integrated Public Security and Environmental Protection Center (CISPPA) of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security.
