The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), through the Secretariat of Agricultural Defense, participated this Tuesday (17) in the Clean Grains Operation, as well as the Pure Grains operation. The operations launched by the Federal Police aim to combat fraud in grain commercialization, especially in soybean and soybean meal cargoes destined for export. With the technical support of the Surveillance Program for International Agricultural Defense (Vigifronteiras) and the Inspection Service of Vegetable Origin Products of Paraná (Sipov-PR), Mapa acted in inspection activities and support for investigations. These focused on the search and seizure of documents, computers, and cell phones related to those involved. In total, 15 judicial warrants were executed in Cuiabá (MT), and in the municipalities of Toledo, São José dos Pinhais, Paranaguá, Pontal do Paraná, and Morretes, in Paraná.
