The volume of pork fell by 23%. The registered prices had a similar behavior. Those for beef increased by almost 29% and those of chicken meat more than 33%, while those of pork fell by close to 30%. As a result, pork revenue, by the daily average, has been 30% lower than a year ago. Chicken and beef have an increase of, respectively, 39% and 57%. As the current May has one more working day than the same month last year, the final results for beef and chicken will be higher than those indicated by the daily average, while the reductions of pork in terms of volume and revenue should reach minor levels.
