Purchase prices of live pigs on the domestic market from mid-May. the upward trend in the purchase prices of live pigs is maintained. On 18–24.07.2022, the plants monitored by the Integrated Agricultural Market Information System of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development bought slaughter pigs at PLN 7.00 / kg, which is 1% more expensive than in the previous week and 3% more than the month ago. The price of live pigs was 43% higher than in the corresponding period of 2021. In the EU, suppliers for class E slaughter pigs received an average of EUR 192.70 / 100 kg, i.e. 0.2% less than a week earlier, but more by 1% than a month ago. At the same time, it was a 28% increase in relation to the prices obtained a year ago. In Poland, the price of livestock in this class, expressed in euro, was 0.3% lower than the EU average and amounted to EUR 192.05 / 100 kg. On the German market, slaughter pigs were purchased at EUR 192.70 / 100 kg, in Denmark - EUR 170.60 / 100 kg, and in the Netherlands - EUR 168.94 / 100 kg.
