Midagri inaugurated a modern laboratory and seed plant in Piura

Committed to strengthening the agricultural sector in northern Peru, the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) inaugurated a certified seed conditioning plant and a water, soil and foliar laboratory, located in the district of Marcavelica, province of Sullana, in the Piura region. These establishments located in the INIA El Chira Agrarian Experimental Station will allow to increase the quality and competitiveness of the agricultural production of more than 14,000 small and medium-sized farmers in this area. The inauguration of these modern infrastructures was carried out by the head of Midagri, Ángel Manero, who highlighted that "in this way the Government contributes to economic growth, food security, biodiversity conservation, crop quality and the strengthening of the transfer of agricultural technologies."
