According to the State Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply of Minas Gerais (Seapa), the State shipped 105,000 tons of grain, representing a 573% increase in volume compared to the same period in 2024. In value terms, foreign sales totaled US$ 32 million, a 34% increase. The majority of exports corresponded to corn classified as cereal. In this segment, shipments reached 101,000 tons, with revenue of US$ 22 million, representing a 1,200% advance over the previous year. Other corn-based product categories moved around US$ 10 million, with the shipment of approximately 3,000 tons. Uberaba, in the Triângulo Mineiro, was the municipality with the highest state corn production, according to the most recent Municipal Agricultural Production (PAM) data from IBGE.
