REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR -- The Ministry of Agriculture is collaborating with three ministries namely the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of PUPR, and the Ministry of ATR/BPN as well as the Association of Indonesian Village Governments (Apdesi) as an effort to strengthen food security. Inspector General of the Ministry of Agriculture Jan S Maringka during a Coordination Meeting for Food Security Supervision (Rakorwas) in Bogor, West Java, Tuesday (30/5/2023), said that government commitment down to the village level is very important to maintain and improve Indonesia's food security in amidst the threat of climate change. "The challenge of food security in the future apart from land conversion which has not been optimally handled, is also faced with the threat of drought and El Nino, which must be faced together to anticipate these problems," he said.
