(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Yoon-gu = The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on the 2nd that they will hold the 2025 China K-Smart Farm Roadshow in Chengdu, Wuhan, and Qingdao from the 3rd to the 7th.
Following the Saudi Arabia and Eastern Europe last month, this marks the first time a Smart Farm Roadshow is being held in China, accelerating the opening of new markets.
China has established a national smart agriculture action plan (2024-2028) to promote the digital transformation of agriculture using artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things, and big data. The private sector is creating conditions for the stable introduction of smart agriculture technology, making it a market where our companies can seek new cooperation opportunities.
Nine domestic companies in fields such as smart farm solutions and AI-based agricultural data analysis will participate in this roadshow to conduct export consultations with local buyers.
The participating companies are also scheduled to visit local smart agriculture-related institutions and companies, such as the Yuanjiang National Agricultural Science and Technology Park (Chengdu) and the Weifang National Agricultural Open Development Comprehensive Experimental Zone (Qingdao), to discuss smart farm cooperation plans.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs plans to support the projects discovered through this roadshow so that they can be successfully concluded in actual contracts.
