Russia: More than 140 thousand tons of grain have already been harvested in the Yaroslavl region

A harvesting campaign is underway at agricultural enterprises in the Yaroslavl region. It will last until early November. “The harvesting work has not yet been completed, and the yield and gross harvest indicators for many crops already exceed last year’s levels,” said Dmitry Fomin, Minister of Agriculture and Consumer Market of the Yaroslavl Region. – There is a colossal amount of work behind these numbers. Our farmers were well prepared for spring field work, purchased the necessary fertilizers and seeds on time, including new varieties of crops, and updated agricultural equipment. All this allows us to successfully solve the problems of import substitution and ensuring food security set by the President of Russia.” To date, farmers have harvested 140.5 thousand tons of grain, which is 121.2% of the 2022 level.
