Peru has established 22 trade agreements that provide access to 58 markets with improved tariff conditions, according to the Foreign Trade Society of Peru (ComexPerú). These agreements, which began in the early 2000s, include key partnerships with the US, China, South Korea, Japan, and the EU. As of 2023, 91% of Peru's exports, valued at US$58,451 million, were to countries with free trade agreements. Non-traditional exports, including value-added products, have seen significant growth, especially to the US, EU, China, and South Korea. The agricultural sector has experienced the most growth, with blueberries, grapes, and avocados being the primary exports.
