Livestock prices rose in the second half of March, mainly driven by the resumption of meat shipments to China since March 23 and also by the restriction on sales – many cattlemen take advantage of the good conditions of the pastures to keep the animals in the field. Cepea researchers point out that, with the recent valuations, the bovine arroba is already traded at practically the same levels registered in mid-February, before the suspension of shipments was announced. It is worth remembering that the CEPEA/B3 Livestock Indicator ended February at R$ 267.95, with a sharp drop of 7.2% in the accumulated result for that month, and, until February 22, before the suspension of shipments, the Indicator accumulated high, of 3.74%.
