Peru: Non-traditional agricultural exports generate USD 2,017 million in the first quarter of 2022

By Editorial PortalPortuario.cl/Peruvian News Agency, @PortalPortuario, Peruvian non-traditional agro-exports reached a value of 2,017 million dollars in the first quarter of 2022, an increase of 17.1% compared to the same period in 2021 and 31.8% compared to the amount registered in the similar period of 2020, according to figures from the National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration (Sunat). According to data from the entity and revealed by the Peruvian Foreign Trade Society (Comex Peru), the United States became the main destination for non-traditional shipments, with exports of 702 million dollars and year-on-year growth of 26 %. This figure meant 34.8% of the total non-traditional Peruvian agro-exports of the period under analysis.
