In the first quarter of 2025, Peru's interior regions saw a significant increase in exports, totaling $17.41 billion, which is a 28.6% increase compared to the same period in 2024. This growth surpassed the national total and was attributed to the dynamic performance of the agroindustry and minerals. All 23 regions experienced an increase in exports, primarily driven by better international prices and a larger exportable supply. The most significant growth was seen in Huánuco, San Martín, Apurímac, Ayacucho, and Loreto. The country's main export ports, including the Port of Callao, Jorge Chávez International Airport, and the Port of Matarani, also reported growth.
