The planting of beet in Andalusia, recalls from the Phytosanitary Alert and Information Network of that autonomous community, have been greatly delayed over time as a result of the low rainfall recorded, beginning in October and ending in January. The periods of greatest concentration of planted plots have coincided with the only ones where it has rained, that is, the beginning of November and the end of December. These weather conditions have caused a terrible sprouting of the crop, having to replant many plots. Despite these very poor rainfall conditions, more than 8,000 hectares of sugar beet have been planted in Andalusia. The dominant phenological stage of the crop during this month of February has passed from the stage "BBCH: 15" (5 unfolded leaves), to the stage "BBCH: 31-33" (10-30% soil covered).
