The Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association ended 2020 by ranking third among seven agricultural unions within the Aegean Exporters Unions (EIB), with an export of 890 million dollars. They surpassed 1 billion dollars in exports for the first time in their 54-year history between January 1 and December 19, 2020. Cherries, pickles, and dried tomatoes were the leading exports. In 2021, the association anticipates continuing record-breaking performance, attributed to the pandemic's expected increase in demand for fresh fruits and vegetables.
