From May 16 to May 22, prices for fruits and vegetables decreased by an average of 1.5%, according to the materials of Rosstat. This is more than during the period from May 11 to 15, when prices decreased by 0.9%. Including cucumbers last week fell in price by 11.8%, tomatoes - by 7.3%, bananas - by 1.3%. At the same time, prices for cabbage rose by 15.1%, carrots rose by 5.1%, beets - by 2.5%, potatoes - by 2.4%, apples - by 0.9%, onions - by 0, 4%. Dmitry Leonov, deputy chairman of the board of the Rusprodsoyuz association, told Agroinvestor that the average wholesale prices for potatoes in Russia are now at the level of 11.1 rubles per kg. A year ago, they were at around 36 rubles/kg. Prices for onions are 31.2 rubles/kg, while a year ago they cost 34.7 rubles/kg.
