Despite a global export decline of 5% in the 2022/23 season, many countries are adjusting their production to meet demand and improve operational efficiency. "This has been the second highest global table grape export season in history, only surpassed by the previous one in 2021/22. We hope that the upward trend in exports observed in the last decade will continue in the coming years" , says Gonzalo Salinas, Fresh Products analyst at Rabobank. Weather irregularities play an important role in the challenges faced by the main suppliers in different areas. Chile experienced an 18% decline in exports due to the elimination of low-yielding areas and other efforts to improve profitability over the last ten seasons.
