The analytical department of the agricultural cooperative PUSK in Ukraine predicts that rapeseed prices will increase to $540-560/t in the July-September period due to a deficit in the new-crop market. This is due to traders and processors increasing their purchases due to limited supply and stable demand from the EU. Despite European market fluctuations, Ukrainian rapeseed prices are still experiencing an upward trend due to an imbalance between existing export contracts and actual purchases. Farmers are withholding from selling and forward contracting due to difficult weather conditions. The price of the May rapeseed contract on the Paris stock exchange also saw a significant increase, which is supporting the prices of the new crop.
