[Korea Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper, Reporter Kim Kyung-wook] Representative Song Ok-ju of the Democratic Party of Korea (Gyeonggi Hwaseong Alpha) recently introduced a total of five legislative revision proposals to supplement the points raised and legislative shortcomings identified during the recent government inspection. On November 27, Representative Song announced that she would institutionally support the follow-up measures of the government inspection through the revision proposals of the 'Organic Agriculture Promotion Act', 'Act on the Distribution and Price Stabilization of Agricultural, Forestry, and Fisheries Products', 'Agricultural Cooperatives Act', 'Port Act', and 'Fisheries Act'. The 'Organic Agriculture Promotion Act' revision proposal, which Representative Song introduced, aims to promote organic agriculture and contribute to the development of the organic food industry by enabling the national and local governments to promote and support private organizations.
